We all know how difficult it can be to find the perfect gift for our loved ones. Sometimes nothing seems right and you know the person you are buying for has every gadget and trinket out there. Well, here at Activity Breaks we specialise in activity holidays and might just have the solution, in the form of spa breaks.
Spa breaks are the perfect form of activity holidays for women of all ages and will show that special lady in your life that you really care about her and have put some thought into her gift, whatever the occasion may be. A trip to the spa is the perfect way for your lady friend to unwind and relax. There is nothing quite as good for relieving stress as being pampered and indulged for a day or two.
Spa breaks can be booked at locations all over the country and abroad. There are many different treatments which are available, so you can tailor make your gift to suit the needs of the loved one you are presenting it to. If you have a friend or loved one who has a particular problem, such as insomnia or a bad back, they will really appreciate the thought if you present them with a spa break including a treatment which is designed to help with their particular ailment, and you will score several brownie points. When activity holidays are brought up, it is not unusual for people to assume that they involve ‘roughing it’ and having to commit feats of endurance in a field somewhere. This could, however, not be further from the truth. Here at Activity Breaks, we have many activity holidays which offer luxury and a taste of the high life. There are some great resorts which offer high end activity breaks where your every whim or fancy will be indulged.
One of the most luxurious activity breaks you can take is a luxury ski break. There is nothing quite so frivolous and satisfying as spending your holiday high in the snowy mountains in a luxury ski resort. Once the reserve of the rich and famous, luxury ski breaks are now available to all. Flights to European destinations are much cheaper and there are some great package deals on luxury resorts, making luxury ski breaks the ideal choice for anyone who wants to have an active holiday without having to resort to a soggy tent halfway up a mountain.
Spa breaks are the epitome of decadence and luxury. When you attend a luxury spa, you are pampered from the second you arrive. Massages, aromatherapy and cocktails are the order of the day. Luxury spa’s are great places to relax and rejuvenate in style. They are also great places to relax with friends on special occasions such as birthdays or hen parties and you certainly won’t get your nails dirty taking part in a spa activity break.

Team building is a very important aspect in managing staff in a corporate environment. They allow staff members to interact and develop relationships in a positive way. This, in turn, crosses over to the workplace and can help to make the office more productive, efficient and happy. Team building exercise are a great way to get people working together and there is no better way to do this than on activity holidays which have been specifically designed for the purpose.
Here at Activity Breaks, we have developed the perfect activity break for corporate team building exercises. The team building activity breaks take place in Spain, which in itself is a motivating factor for the staff. After all, three nights team building in Spain has got to be a ore attractive proposition than a weekend in Slough, Stoke or Swindon!
Participating in outdoor activities can help people to realise their full potential, as it can be quite difficult to overcome your fears and push yourself to the limits when taking part in an activity such as kayaking or hiking. If your team building is a success, members will, hopefully, help each other out and learn a little about the importance of patience and how helping your colleagues out is the right thing to do. Getting the staff to communicate with each other is the key to a successful business and taking part in challenging activity holidays is a superb way to make that happen for you and your business.
Short breaks with your team can add value to it and foster comradely behaviour.

If you are stuck for ideas when it comes to your next holiday and want to inject a little more excitement into your life, activity holidays could be just the thing for you. Here at Activity Breaks, we offer a different form of holiday, where you can participate in many activities which may be of interest to you. Below are some of the most exciting activity holidays we have to offer.
Windsurfing is one of the most enjoyable water sports out there. It gives a real adrenaline rush. You can take part in windsurfing activities in a number of different destinations abroad and can even combine this activity with other water sports if you opt for a multi-activity break. Other popular water sports include scuba diving and surfing, all of which give an exciting and pleasurable experience on activity holidays.
Horse riding activities are particularly popular with young children and animal lovers. For any horse fans, there is nothing quite like spending the day learning to ride a horse or pony. Horse riding experiences often make really great gifts and are a good way of giving a potential rider a little taste of what the sport entails.
For beer lovers, the ultimate activity break surely must be a beer tasting experience which combines a holiday in Europe with a brewery tour, where participants will get the chance to sample some of the finest beers in the world. If beer is not quite your thing, wine tasting experiences are always available too.

Holidays provide us with a much needed break where we are free to take time out from our usual obligations, and do just what we like for a few days or weeks. It, therefore, seems a shame that many of us waste away our holidays doing very little. Of course it is great to have some time to just be and do nothing much, but with all the great activity holidays available here at Activity Breaks, there is no reason why we should not do something a little different with our special time away.
Activity holidays can be taken for short periods of time or for a few weeks depending on the activity and your personal preference. For example, if you are taking a two week holiday in France, you could take a day out to participate in a wine tasting activity before continuing on your normal holiday or you could take activity breaks which provide you with an activity for the duration of your holiday, like ski breaks.
Participating in an activity while on holiday can be very fulfilling and provide you with an experience you may never have considered before. They can be as challenging or as laid back as you like ,and activities are always conducted by qualified professionals who have experience in your chosen field. They make a great change from hanging out by the hotel pool or at the bar, although there will be some time left over for that kind of relaxed socialising too.
Activity holidays in which you do a lot can seem longer and more meaningful than those in which you simply do too little.

Life can be hard at the best of times, but sometimes things seem to get on top of us and stress can build up. At times like this, it is tempting to get away from it all and spend some much needed time out. However, it is not always possible to do so with the constraints of time and money weighing heavily upon us. Here at Activity Breaks, we have the perfect antidote to the blues; weekend breaks.
Everyone deserves some time away and there is no better time to take short breaks away than when you are feeling down in the dumps, or just stressed out with life’s challenges. Pressure at work or at home can make you discontented. Weekend breaks are much more affordable than a longer break and they have the benefit of being shorter, thus, easier to fit into your schedule. Taking time off to do something you really love, no matter what it may be, is a great way to soothe a troubled mind and banish the blues.
You do not necessarily have to have a relaxing break, such as a spa break to unwind, although they work well. Taking an action-packed holiday, such as ski breaks can be just as effective in de-stressing a frazzled brain as rest can. It has been proven in several studies that exercise is a great antidote to depression and stress, so, even if your preferred hobby is kayaking or whitewater rafting, you are likely to return home in a much calmer state of mind than when you left.

There are so many activity holidays on offer here at Activity Breaks that it can be hard to know just where to start. Many people like the idea of taking activity holidays as they provide an exciting alternative to traditional and, often, boring holidays where little in the way of entertainment is on offer.
Taking an activity holiday is a great way to try out a hobby and meet new people. If you take an activity break with your family, it is a great way of bonding and making happy memories together.
Choosing the right activity holiday for you is not as hard as it may seem. If there is an activity you have always enjoyed or have always wanted to try, you already have a starting point on which to build. It could be something as simple as you liking wine, so embarking upon a wine tasting holiday might make sense. If you are the adventurous type and have always wanted to push yourself to the limit, you could take a whitewater rafting break.
It is always a good idea to research possible breaks to find out if they are suitable for you. For example, some short breaks will have an age limit and would not be suitable for a family with younger children, whereas, others will have facilities which specifically cater for children. The main thing when choosing a suitable activity break is to go for something which will excite you in some way and you will not be disappointed.

When it comes to activity breaks, hiking holidays must be pretty high on the agenda. In some ways they are the purest form of activity holidays you can embark on. By their nature, hiking activity holidays are all action from the very first second you embark upon them and they are sure to keep you fit and healthy, unlike a traditional holiday where you are more than likely to come back at least a few pounds heavier than you were when you left.
Hiking activity holidays do require a certain amount of physical ability and endurance. If you are very unfit, you should think hard before you book one and it is always a good idea, to step up your exercise regime and improve your fitness before you take off for your hiking holiday in any case.
Preparing for a hiking holiday with us, at Activity Breaks, is a little different from preparing for your average holiday and you may require extra equipment to aid you in your trip. Hiking can really put a strain on the feet so it is a good idea to invest in a decent pair of walking boots. Wear your boots around the home before your holiday to ensure you are very comfortable when hiking. You should also pack foot ointment in your luggage to help soothe tired feet if you intent to take an entire activity holiday devoted to walking!
Maps and GPS systems are great if you are hiking without a guide, but are probably not necessary when taking a guided walking tour. You should be sure to pack waterproof and warm clothing in order to prepare for all weather conditions.

Some of the best activity holidays are the ones where you combine your love of travel with other passions and interests you may have. Most of us have at least one musician or band that we really like and would love to see in concert as much as possible. Chances are that, at some point, your favourite musician will play in a city near your home where you can see them, but if you like to travel in Europe, you should consider taking activity holidays which allow you to see your favourite artists in concert abroad.
At Activity Breaks, we often have packages which include hotel accommodation and gig tickets to a wide range of popular artists, including hugely famous performers such as Muse and Tina Turner. Most of the packages for short breaks are flexible, and offer between 1 and 3 mights accommodation. The beauty of seeing your favourite bands abroad is that you get to explore the city they are playing in, as well as seeing a great show from people whose work you really love and admire.
The most popular destinations on activity holidays to attend a concert in Europe are probably Prague and Amsterdam, which are not only known for their excellent music scene, but also have a great night life and many excellent cultural landmarks and buildings to visit, too. You will have plenty to do in between your trip to the show and it will be much more exciting than seeing a band in your local area, where you have been a thousand times before. Weekend breaks can return you to feeling happy and healthy if you have been stressed out.

Gone are the days when ‘husbands to be’ were content with going down the local pub, getting blind drunk and being tied to a lampost on their stag night. Today’s stags expect more from their final days of freedom. They expect weekend breaks away with their friends, indulging in fun activities where they can bond and unwind before the big day. However, organising a weekend away and things to do in a foreign country can often be difficult and time-consuming. This is where we at Activity Breaks come in. We have compiled one of our best activity holidays for men yet.
Our stag break in Riga is the perfect way for husbands to be to spend a stag weekend with their friends. This weekend break package includes accommodation and the choice of two activities, including quad biking and the choice of either paint balling or indoor karting. Not only will fun activity holidays like this keep the men happy but it will also be a relief to the bride to be if she knows that her groom’s time will not solely be taken up by drinking, but will involve some good, clean and sober fun.
There probably aren’t many men on the planet who would not enjoy weekend breaks; running around like a child ’shooting’ his friends and riding around on motor vehicles for a couple of days is the best way to blow off steam. What’s more, there is even a barbecue thrown in along with a pub crawl on one of the nights, making for a truly memorable stag night.
