Walking And Hiking Activity Breaks

There are thousands of miles of land out there with beautiful scenery just waiting to be explored. Walking is something that most of us can do easily and we do not need any expensive equipment or expertise to do so. Walking and hiking abroad is a great way of exploring a new country and it allows you to explore areas which are less well known to tourists. If you go on a self guided walking tour, you can pretty much walk wherever you want for the duration of your holiday, returning to your hotel when you fancy a break.

One of the great things about walking activity breaks is that you can choose the places you walk and how far you go to suit your own personal requirements and fitness levels. If you are an experienced hiker you can take off into the mountains and have an adventure but if you are not quite as fit or like it more leisurely, you can take it at your own pace and stick to gentler areas as you explore the countryside.

Active holidays are also great for people who are on a weight loss regime. It is a well known fact that a lot of people put on several pounds when they are on holiday because they remain largely inactive and eat large opulent meals when they are away from home. If you go on walking breaks or other activity breaks instead of a traditional holiday, this will not be a problem and you will probably end up losing weight because you will be active most of the time.
