Are ski breaks safe for the over 50’s?

Ski Breaks are suitable for the young at heart; as long as you are prepared before you go. Before you travel its important that you do some exercises such as Pilates and Yoga to strengthen your core. Your body will then be prepared for the challenges and physical demands that lie ahead and it will also help improve your technique.

On your chosen ski break,  it’s always important that you warm up before skiing and make sure you are wearing the right ski equipment.

ActivityBreaks has noticed over the years that many skiers of this age are often fitter than many of the younger skiers.  They are also keen to make the most of the daylight hours on the slopes by getting to the lifts straight after breakfast and skiing until the last lifts of the day. Après Ski is not the main priority as they prefer on piste ski resorts with quieter slopes.

Some of the most popular ski breaks for the over 50′s are Filzmoos in Austria, Davos in Switzerland and Santa Caterina in Italy.  Filzmoos is also ideal for short ski holidays as its only 40 minutes from Salzburg airport.
