Just because you are on holiday and no one can see you, doesn’t mean that the rest of the world can’t. For example why do some people insist on wearing open toe sandals with white socks? They should seriously be arrested by the Fashion Police!!
Most Europeans speak English these days; however some travellers still believe that it is necessary to raise their voices and use extreme gesturing to ask for simple directions. Or maybe you are one of those tourists, who rise early to ensure you have reserved a sun lounger at the swimming pool?
I’m sure at one stage of your life you have posed in a Hawaiian Shirt or stuck your head inside a wooden picture or embraced a costumed mascot. (I know I have plenty of photos with such images.) An American guy called Darren Garnick has set up a website called Tacky Tourist Photos, which is a global scrapbook celebrating the snapshots of tourists who love to take random photos of themselves. Why not upload some your own tacky holiday photos to our Facebook Community. There will be a prize for the best one!!
All joking aside, travelling is a wonderful experience that opens your mind to different cultures. It is important to have fun; however you must ensure you respect the local culture as well. Why not have a break from the normal two week holiday on the beach and take a look at some of our exciting holidays. Why not try a Horse Riding Break in Spain, Learn to Surf Break in Cornwall or try a Sailing Holiday in Sardinia.
