We are in Krakow of course!!
Krakow is one of the oldest cities in Poland. It is located in the southern region of the country on the Vistula River. Once the capital of Poland between the years of 1038 and 1596, this wonderful city has developed from a stone age settlement into one of Poland's most important and vibrant cities.
Throughout the 20th Century the growth of different cultural venues and universities helped establish Krakow as a vital national academic and artistic destination.
During the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany, Krakow was quickly turned into the capital of Germany's General Government. The Jewish residents were moved into a walled zone known as Krakow's ghetto in which they were then brought to Auschwitz concentration camp.
