The Slovenian ski resort of Vogel is part of the Bohinj Ski area with access to 92 individual pistes.

The season in Vogel runs from December to April, and many people have noted that there aren't large queues for the lifts even though it's a relatively small resort and that the pistes and trails are very well maintained. It's still undiscovered by mass tourism but many previous skiers in the resort think that this adds to it's charm, why not give it a try before it gets too crowded!

Vogel is recommended for beginner and intermediate skiers but is also good for experts.

Situated on the first mountain barrier above the Adriatic Sea, this location see's substantially more snow fall than anywhere else of the same altitude in the Alps. The high altitude situation, breathtaking views and the National Park above Lake Bohinj make Vogel a truly magical destination.

of all the off-piste skiing in the area.

Nearest Airports:

Ljubljana airport is in the centre of the country and is closest to the resort; Klagenfurt is approx 70km away although the roads between these places could be better.

Klagenfurt in Austria and Trieste in Italy are the nearest Ryanair airports.

This is a resort renowned for peace and tranquility, surrounded by Slovenian beauty and with a stunning lake at the bottom of the runs this really is a unique ski experience.

Bled is 35 mins away, where food and drink is very cheap and enjoyable. Bled and Vogel are in the North West of the country towards the Italian border. A bus service operates between Bled and Vogel, it runs twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon.

It's not famed for a huge Apres-Ski so it's not ideal for wild parties, it's more of an unspoilt area in which to completely unwind. There are a few friendly bars in each of the villages.
