Kranjska Gora

The Ski Area

Located in the alpine valley of Zgornkesavska, Krankska Gora is Slovenia's biggest ski resort and proud host of the Alpine Skiing World Championships. The resort is suitable for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. It has a total of 30 km of ski slopes, 40 km tracks for Cross country skiing and Snow Fun park for snowboarders.

1,25 square km (308 acres) - 19 named runs covering around 30 km (19 miles) on one mountain, but four different areas.

Kranjska Gora Ski Resort

 

Location

Kranjska Gora Ski resort is located in seven different areas in Municipality of Kranjska Gora (Mojstrana, Kranjska Gora, Gozd Martuljek, Planica, Podkoren 1 & 2 and "Planina pod Golico"). It is close to the Austrian and Italian borders. The well-known ski jumping hill Planica is located in the nearby Tamar valley.  Nearest city is Jesenice and is about an hour away from Ljubljana.

Transfers:

Ljubljana Airport (66 km) 45 minute drive 

Klagenfurt Airport (Austria) 40 minute drive

Trieste (Italy). 1 hour and 40 minutes

Klagenfurt 60km (3 hours 20 minutes)

Jesenice station 20km (20 minutes)

We can also arrange airport transfers from the following airports:

Trieste (2 hours) - €35 per person up to 4 persons.   Groups of 4 or more there is no supplement.
Salzburg (2.5 hours) - €35 per person up to 4 persons. Groups of 4 or more then €15 per person
Venice (3 hours) - €50 per person up to 4 persons. Groups of 4 or more then €30 per person

Kranjska Gora has a great selection of bars and restaurants offer fantastic atmosphere at a small price. You can try your luck at the local casino with its luxurious surroundings you can choose to play on any of the large number of slot machines or perhaps try your luck at the gaming tables.

Kranjska Gora offers other activities such as Alpine skiing, Carving, Snowboard, hiking, weekly ski parties and opportunities to try snow rafting and tobogganing. There is a snow park which is great for snowboarding as it contains a half pipe. (40 km/25 miles) of cross country skiing is also available.
