Alpbach

The Ski Area

Alpbach is a charming traditional village with a relaxed atmosphere.  The resort is small and exceptionally pretty.

There is a small terrain park with a half-pipe at the top of the main gondola.  Cross-country consists of 22km/14 miles of pretty trails up beyond Inneralpbach: the most challenging is about 8km/5 miles long and climbs 300m/1000ft.

Alpbach cannot claim great snow reliability, but at least two-thirds are covered by snowmaking. The resort is not ideal for expert skiers.  There are a number of off-piste routes to the valley and short tours are offered.  Alpbach has fine intermediate terrain although limited.  Beginners love the sunny nursery slopes beside the village but the main slopes are not suitable.

Aprés Ski

Alpbach

There are plenty of bars close to central hotels and the après ski is said to be typically Tirolean.

Plenty of walks and trips to Innsbruck and Salzburg can keep the non-skier occupied.

There is also an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor ice rink.
