Bad Kleinkirchheim is an old spa town that is famed for its skiing and spa and wellness. The town is lined with ancient medieval buildings and numerous cafes and restaurants. The ski resort is one of the 15 most visited in Austria.
For beginners there are snow guaranteed nursery slopes at the top of the Nockenalm telecabin which leads to long and moderate blue runs giving beginners a chance to improve their skiing skills rapidly. The nursery area is situated close to the village. Expert skiers are well catered for with the famous Franz Klammer downhill run, designed by the Olympic champion himself!
Bad Kleinkirchheim has plenty to offer snowboarders. The half-pipe and snowboard park are excellent whilst the long pistes offer some great free riding terrain.
