Styrian Salzkammergut

The Ski Area

Upper Austria's largest Winter sporting area draws the ski fanatics to Salzkammergut. With 140 kilometres of the best prepared slopes, the Dach-stein-West ski resort inspires skiers all around Gosau, Rußbach, Zwiese-lalm and Annaberg. At the very heart of Salzkammergut, an extensive world of winter sports is developing.

The soft, snow-covered peaks of the Böhmerwald form the backdrop to the Hochficht ski resort in Mühlviertel, right on the borders with the Czech Re-public and Bavaria. Hochficht has FIS-pistes, used during the European Cup, which also cater for family-oriented skiing.

Location

The Styrian Salzkammergut region is located in Upper Austria in the Salzburg province and commonly known as the Lake Distict of Austria.

The nearest international airport to the resort are Graz (240km) and Salzburg only (51km).
