At S. Félix Parque you will be 10 minutes away from the beautiful Estela Golf Club, an 18 hole course in Northern Portugal with some wonderful views over the Sea. One Child aged between 0 and 10 (inclusive) can stay in the hotel for FREE when sharing with 2 adults!!!

Estela Golf Course is a spectacular 18 hole course which lies beside the large dunes by the Atlantic Ocean in the northwest coast of Portugal. Being very similar to the Western coast of Scotland, it spreads along narrow bands of links near the city of Póvoa de Varzim, in the heart of the great wine-producing region of Portugal and only 30 minutes away of the Porto International Airport.

A few conditions must be respected in the course:

• Soft Spike shoes are obligatory
• No jeans and t-shirts allowed
• Handicap certificate must be presented. Men EGA maximum 28, Women EGA maximum 36  

The Estela Golf course is a true links course, located in a magnificent area with 1st class commodities and with a climate cooled by the Atlantic breeze in summer and warmed by the Gulf stream in winter. Unlike the south of Portugal, where the summer can bring extremely high temperatures, at Estela the temperature rarely rises above 25ºC (80ºF), even in the hotter period, and where the average temperature in winter stays between 6ºC (45ºF) and 15ºC (60ºF).

The type of grass used, “Tifton Bermuda” in the fairways and “Penncross Bent” in the greens, contributes to create excellent game conditions with good fairways and greens that are both firm and fast.

From the back tees, the Estela stretches over almost 6,300 meters (7,000 yards), with a par of 72, a 72.7 Course Rating and a 131 Slope Rating. Judging from these tees, this is not a course for those who have difficulties with a driver!
