Bus Tour Information:

A double-decker bus tour takes you on a scheduled panoramic tour of Madrid on one of 2 possible routes. Hop on and off the tour bus as many times as you like on any of the routes, or even start one route, and join another at one of the interconnecting stops. This really is an excellent option to get to know Madrid's sights and monuments in a short period of time.  (Children pay extra)

Departure Point: You can board the bus at any one of the stops on the two touring routes around the city

Departure Time: Buses depart every 10 to 25 minutes, depending on the season:

January 1 to March 20 - from 10:00am to 7:00pm
March 21 to June 20 - from 10:00am to 9:00pm
June 21 to September 20 - from 9:30am to 0:00am (midnight)
September 21 to December 20 - from 10:00am to 9:00pm
December 21 to December 31 - from 10:00am to 7:00pm

Madrid's old town is exemplary among major European cities, and blends harmoniously with the most modern and convenient of urban infrastructure. Near to the Plaza Mayor is the so-called "aristocratic centre" of Madrid, home to the stunning Royal Palace, a 17th century monument that combines Baroque and Classical styles. Next to the palace you can find the Plaza de Oriente (square), the Opera House and the modern Almudena Cathedral, consecrated in 1993 by Pope John Paul II.
