The ski resort of Les Orres, perched above the town of Embrun and the Durance Valley, offers a magnificent view over the Lake of Serre-Ponçon, Europe’s largest man-made lake. With pistes above 2500 metres you are guaranteed good skiing and snowboarding throughout the season.

Les Orres Ski Resort:

The new resort of Les Orres Bois Méan, at an altitude of 1800 metres in a carefully preserved mountain environment amidst a vast forest of larches, was created in 2008. The resort is a paradise for families and young children. Bois Méan is able to meet all the expectations of families on holiday with their children of all ages: a day-care centre for those aged from 6 months to 5 years equipped with an outdoor playground, a snow park for 3 to 6 year olds and the Juni-Orres Club for the 6 to 12 year-olds.

Thanks to its high altitude and its exposure to the north, the resort benefits from excellent snowfall together with

all the brightness of an already Mediterranean climate.

The black run of La Pousterle (with a 900 drop over a total length of 3,600 metres) is one of the 3 runs in France

approved by the International Ski Federation for downhill skiing. It plays host every year in January to the European Cup for downhill racing. The resort is equipped with snow guns covering 70% of the total area.

Snowboarding:

The snowpark has five tables, two quarters and two big airs.  There is also a boarder cross course and tuition available.

Apres Ski:

There are plenty of bars to choose from and a nightclub called Les Caves. There is also a mini-bowling alley and a cinema.

In addition to skiing, the resort offers a very wide range of other fun-filled or sporting nature-related activities for

you to discover the mountain differently: excursions on foot or on snow-shoes, paragliding, snowmobiling, biathlon, ice falls, skijoring and riding, sledging with sledge dogs, etc.
