Borovets Ski Resort:

Borovets is nestled in the Rila Mountains and is very popular for skiing.  It is very good for Beginners and Intermediates with direct access to 20 individual pistes served by 11 ski lifts.

The ski runs of Borovets are located in three different regions. 

Sitnyakovo – with 4 ski runs (1 of medium difficulty and 3 difficult ones) is lift-linked to Martinovi Baraki – 4 difficult ski runs form the first region which has a total length of 19km.  The difficult ski runs are used for slaloming while in their lower parts there are special runs for beginners.

Yastrebets – 3 ski runs (1 very difficult and 2 difficult ones) with a total length of 13km which are used for international competitions. Is can only be reached by the wonderful 3 mile long gondola ride.

Markudjika is the 3rd Region and has the highest mountain at 2550m above sea level with the longest-lasting snow cover.  It has 4 different ski runs with one of them called Markudjik which has been approved by the International Skiing Federation for giant slalom competitions.

Cross-country and biathlon tracks are located 2 km away from the resort together with the cross-country tuition tracks. The runs for the ski jumps are 75 and 50 m long and are serviced by a chair lift.

The Borovets ski school is well known and respected internationally.  It has more than 200 ski instructors and all of them are fluent in different languages and many are former professional skiers.

Après Ski:

During the day you can try tobogganing, billiards, bowling, snowmobiling or a sleigh ride.  In the evening you will enjoy the friendly relaxed fun atmosphere.  Borovets is full of restaurants, bars, cafes, night clubs, and discos. Most of the places work till the early morning, and offer good prices and special 'Happy Hour' discounts.
