During this city break you will spend an active day kayaking or rafting down the Mreznica River, while the absolute highlight of the trip will be a visit to Plitvice Lakes National Park, UNESCO World Heritage site.

Your Itinerary:
Day 1 Fri: Arrival
Arrival in Croatia. A guide will be waiting for you at the Zagreb Airport and transfer you to the hotel in the city centre. Use the day to explore Zagreb. Discover "the Green Horseshoe" - a series of parks at the very heart of the city, including the botanical garden, lined with stylish buildings dating back to the 1900. Make sure you don't miss the walk in the Upper Town, the oldest part of the city. The city gets busy on Friday night - numerous bars and cafes around the centre are ideal for people watching and feeling the city beat.
Accommodation: Hotel in the center of Zagreb.
Day 2 Sat: Mreznica River Kayaking or rafting
The inhabitants of Zagreb are lucky enough to have a river as gorgeous and clear as the Mreznica so close to the city. It is home to many endangered and protected plant and animal species that you may get a chance to observe. After a short introduction to paddling, we push off for an afternoon of refreshing fun on the clear, warm, emerald waters of this river. The day will be filled with swimming, jumping off the waterfalls and enjoying beautiful nature. Return to Zagreb in the afternoon.
Please note: depending on the water level, we will use kayaks or rafts. Minimum age for this activity is 6 years old.

Day 3 Sun: Plitvice Lakes National Park
Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful national parks in Europe, Plitvice Lakes attract thousands of visitors every year. It is an unparalleled series of 16 opal green and turquoise blue lakes connected by numerous cascading waterfalls, surrounded by a lush beech and pine forest which is home to extensive wildlife. The Park has held a spot on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list since 1979. We will spend the day following the Park's wooden paths, crossing narrow bridges and take a boat ride on the largest lake. Return to Zagreb in the evening.

Day 4 Mon: Departure
Transfer to the airport. You are welcome to schedule your flight home for any time. If you decide to spend more time in Croatia, our guides will be happy to recommend other beautiful places to visit - especially those you won’t find in tourist guide books.
