The hotel lies 700 metres above sea-level on the slopes of the Italian hillside within walking distance to a nice medieval village. At this altitude you can enjoy a refreshing climate, even in the hottest summer months. From here there is a panoramic view of the seemingly endless, unspoiled, hilly landscape of the "Alta Maremma" .

The hotel is also an ideal base for non-bikers. You can go for a hike, have a horse riding lesson or join our horseback tours or picnic excursions. Besides it is not far to the famous towns of Florence, Volterra, Pisa, Massa Marittima, San Gimignano or Siena or to one of the nicest beaches in Tuscany.

How To Get There
- Taxi from Airport:
It is 140km from Pisa airpost to Montieri so taxi is not recommended.
- Public transport from Airport:
Pisa is the most convenient airport (140 km) away. But you could also choose to fly to Rome (270 km).
From Pisa airport it is very easy to take the train to Pisa Central Station and from there to Follonica. Costs €6 per person. Here you will meet your transfer for the 40 minute journey to Montieri. Approximate travel time is 2 hours
- Private Airport transfers:
It is possible to arrange transfers from Pisa airport after booking for €150 per trip for 2 people
Transfer from Follonica to Montieri costs €60 per trip for breaks shorter than 5 nights and is FREE if your stay is for 5 nights or longer.
- Travelling by car: 140 km from Pisa. Take the motorway to Rome/ Follonica/ Grosseto and take the exit to “Follonica est" Head towards Massa Marittima. At the turnoff after Massa Marittima do not go to Siena/Florence but left to Laderello/ Montieri. Afterwards you find the indicator for Montieri at every crossing. 1 km before Montieri turn right to climb up to the hotel.
