The "red" Bernina Express Train, which is considered by many one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, offering an unforgettable romantic journey. The journey starts in the small and pretty town of Tirano, after a few kilometres you will discover something amazing: the railway viaduct of Brusio, an open-air helicoidal ramp, from where you will enjoy an exceptional panoramic view. By reaching the altitude of 2253m above sea level, the impressive 4000m long glacier shining in the snow is a most magnificent sight.The line climbs up the Bernina pass. The height of the Bernina pass at the station "Ospizio Bernina" is 2253 metres above sea level.

The train leaves from Tirano, Italy in the morning and stops in St. Moritz, Switzerland. Tirano is a 15 minute drive from the Hotel. The train journey takes around 2 hours each way.

You can check exact schedule once in the hotel, as the staff will provide you with all relevant information.
The exclusive town of St. Moritz is worth a visit, so you can spend your afternoon there and take the last train back to Tirano.

By selecting 3 or 4 nights you can include time to visit the Alpine Valtellina area, including the famous Bormio roman Spa baths, booking for which can be done direct with the Hotel.

You will need to carry your passport with you while on the Train as you will go across the boarder.
