La Duquesa is an 18-hole course designed by the late master Robert Trent Jones, who also designed the neighbouring Valderrama course, among others.  This par 72 Championship Golf Course on your doorstep  also boasts a 19 bay driving range. Golf La Duquesa is very varied and is divided into two clearly distinct parts. The first nine holes have narrow fairways and raised greens requiring accuracy and skilful play. However, the back nine holes are easier, the fairways are wider and allow you to make up for some of the mistakes made on the first 9 holes!

The course has a total length of 6717 metres from the white tees, 6203 from the yellow tees and 5219 from the red ones. The views are another feature of this course. From the high points you can see the Bay of Estepona and Marbella, Gibraltar and, on a clear day, the coast of Africa.

There is no requirement for a handicap certificate on La Duquesa and the maximum handicap to play on the course is 36 for men and women.

The beautiful golden, unspoilt and safe beaches (there are two) of Puerto la Duquesa are less than 200 metres away from the complex, as is the Marina with its wide choice of shops and restaurants ensuring that all your requirements are on your doorstep. To the east, the famous cosmopolitan towns of Marbella and Puerto Banus with their designer shops, casinos, restaurants and extensive nightlife are 15/20 minutes along the coast.
