Krakow’s central Old Town Historic district has mostly been turned into a pedestrian precinct with shops selling all sorts. The main commercial strips are Florianska Street, Szewska Street, Grodzka Street or Slawkowska strett with various retailers crammed into every available space. 

Clearance sales in Krakow shops take place twice a year.  Every retailer has its own timetable and it often changes from year to year. The winter sales usually take place from mid-January through to February.  July to mid-August is when the massive summer sales takes place.  Price reductions range from 30-70 % off. On the other hand most Krakow stores lure customers throughout the year with special promotions and limited rebates for selected goods.  Also, there are plenty of factory outlet stores and discount shops in the city as well.
